Composer and pianist Artur Cimirro started his musical studies in 1995, teaching himself with the guitar. His first contact with piano was in 1996, and after 2001 he dedicated himself to this instrument. The focus of his studies is the virtuoso repertoire and includes more than 200 composers. Throughout his studies as a pianist, Artur Cimirro developed an interpretative technique resulting in his book “Scientific Interpretation System or Musical Hermeneutics.” Artur Cimirro has played in almost all the Brazilian states and in countries including Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Netherlands, Latvia, New Zealand, and Australia, invited by International Festivals and Music Universities.
As composer, Cimirro has already written more than 30 opus numbers, including symphonic works, chamber music, opera, choral, songs, piano music for left hand alone, for both hands, for four hands, and for two pianos. In 2013, Cimirro’s work was the focus of the documentary “ARTUR CIMIRRO” produced by Walter Aiub, with rare footage, concert videos, rehearsals and a long interview with the composer/pianist. Cimirro publishes his CDs with the label “Acte Prealable” from Warsaw/Poland.
