Briay Conditt is a horn player and composer integrating and exploring sound worlds and techniques unfamiliar to her. Briay has studied horn performance with Susan McCullough and is currently a graduate student at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music studying composition with Dr. Chris Malloy, Dr. Leanna Kirchoff, and Bill Hill of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. She performs regularly with various ensembles in Colorado including the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra where she holds the second horn position, Denver Pops Orchestra, various chamber orchestras, new music ensembles, and several ensembles associated with Lamont. As a Colorado native, she finds inspiration in nature and enjoys composing outside. After finishing her studies at Lamont, she hopes to continue her education in composition with an end goal of becoming a professor at the collegiate level.
