Daniel Wilson is a composer and musicologist based in Cambridge, UK. He completed his PhD in 2014 which discussed the relationship between noise and being through the thinking of Alain Badiou and was supervised by Martin Iddon. Daniel’s writing focuses on the noise musics of Japan and the United Kingdom, though he is currently working on a piece about the music of Klaus Lang. His music has been performed in the UK, Italy, Austria and the United States. He has been lucky enough to work with composers such as Chaya Czernowin, Klaus Lang, Pierluigi Billone, Josh Fineberg, and Philippe Leroux. A new work for bass koto will be premiered in Japan in 2016.
