Katerina Therianos-Lynch earned a Master of Music in Composition at the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver, while working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Aural Skills. Her music has been performed by the Assembly Project in the U.K. and Eikona, the Playground Ensemble, the Denver Pro Chorale, the Denver Chorale, the Lamont Modern Hue Ensemble, the Lamont Symphony Orchestra, and numerous solo and chamber groups. In 2015, she attended the St. Magnus International Arts Festival in Kirkwall, Scotland, participating in their selective Composers’ Course. She also participated in the Pan Ramajay Steel Pan Festival in 2015 and 2016. Katerina is trained in the art of Byzantine chant and enjoys exploring ways of working the theoretical and practical concepts of Byzantine chant into my compositions.
Her most recent projects include a CD of choral works, a solo bassoon piece, and a solo marimba piece.
Katerina currently resides in Pasadena, CA with her husband and is active in various musical ventures in the area.
