Phillip Strom is a Denver clarinet player who is passionate about connecting audiences to music they will love. Phillip is a freelance musician who performs throughout Colorado with both large ensembles and chamber groups. Internationally, Phillip has performed in Milan, Italy, including in solo recital at the Verdi House, a new music premiere, and performances with the Civica Scuola di Musica ensembles.
He has worked with a multitude of composers to premiere new compositions, from solo works to chamber and large ensemble pieces. As a lover of chamber music, Phillip has worked with many chamber groups to perform masterpieces and underperformed works, including a concert of Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire featured on Colorado Public Radio.
At the Lamont School of Music, Phillip won awards for Outstanding Graduating Clarinetist, and back-to-back awards for Outstanding Performance of Student Composition. Phillip had the privilege to study with Dr. Jeremy Reynolds and Abby Raymond.
Phillip also holds an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business and is Nebula Ensemble’s financial officer.
