Humans create rituals to bring a sense of order and control to a complex world, and rituals often persist long after people have forgotten why they were created. In the concert hall, rituals tell us when and where to sit, stand, clap, or be silent. We invite you to join us in challenging old rituals and creating new ones during an evening of music that explores the natural world through a ritualistic lens. The concert features newly commissioned works by young composers from around the globe, and Kathak dance by Denver’s Sureela Ensemble.
